Hi there!
I finally went on my first (paid) vacation last week! We took a little weekend trip to Longwood Gardens, about an hour west of Philly. I'll be perfectly honest, I had no idea what I was walking into when I first booked our reservation. I just looked up "attractions near Philadelphia" and then thought to myself...
Hey, this garden looks neat. Let's do it!
I also saw "over a thousand acres!" proudly displayed on their website. Never could I have fathomed how big that truly is until I finally looked at the map upon arrival. It's essentially the size of a town.

It was such a lovely day and the weather was perfect! Forecast stated that was a potential thunderstorm but luckily enough, it was hot and sunny the whole day.
That being said though, even if it were to rain, this park has one of the most expansive indoor gardens I have ever seen. The entire infrastructure of the building is split off to accommodate different climates for their plants! Personally, I loved the tropical environment the most as they had fresh fruit growing and hanging right from the vines. I was tempted to pluck a handful of nectarines but alas, they weren't ripe yet.

As for a life update, there ain't much that's new!
This trip was the first time I've had a chance to practice my photography basics in a long while. I shot all of these photos on my Leica M3 and the Voigtlander Nokton 40mm 1.4 SC. I have been using this 40mm lens for about a month, and I'm honestly struggling to decide if I'd like to keep it or not. I love the focal length as 40mm seems to just perfectly match what I envision when taking a photo. But at the same time... the M3 only has framelines for 50mm so there at lots of times when I'm framing a photo with the whole viewfinder and praying that it will come out correctly.
I have a small confession to make too. I've been using the 50mm for so long now that I still automatically frame with that focal length in mind. Thus, the internal debate rages on.
Well, that's all I got for you today! Hope you enjoyed the snapshots!
Until next time,

P.S. I didn't notice until now, but this blog just hit the one year mark a couple weeks ago! Happy belated anniversary everyone!
